Tucked away in rural Worcestershire, The Elms hotel, restaurant and spa is currently celebrating a huge accolade, following a recent assessment by The AA. The country house hotel can now boast of four AA Silver stars in addition to one Rosette Award to recognise its fine dining credentials.
With AA star ratings ranging from black, to silver and then red, The Elms is delighted to demonstrate such a high accolade. Having become an independently owned country hotel in July, the enthusiasm and the passion of the team is clearly evident and there are plans to further develop the unique venue in all areas.
The 23-bedroom hotel is beautifully appointed amid many acres of grounds and carefully tended gardens, while historic, Queen Anne features adorn the building that dates back to 1710.
The Brookes restaurant and the dining capability of The Elms is most definitely a key strength that has only been enhanced by the introduction of a new head chef in May, who brings a huge amount of notable experience with him, including L’Orangere on St James Street in London and the Conran group. John Brandon is a keen advocate of British dining and locally sourced ingredients. To that end, The Elms’ kitchen gardens boast hundreds of herbs, fruit and vegetables that are used daily on the menu. Achieving one AA Rosette Award has simply left him striving for a second.
General Manager Martin Page commented: “We’re absolutely delighted with our four AA Silver stars, not to mention one Rosette Award for our fine dining; the whole team is buzzing and this clearly shows with the excellent level of service that we are delivering on a daily basis. It’s an exciting time for The Elms and I’m thoroughly enjoying the challenge of developing this most special and historic Worcestershire venue into one of the best in the county.”
In addition to offering a relaxing, spa-hotel retreat for residential guests, The Elms provides many dining opportunities, social events and spa days for non-residents, in addition to hosting countless weddings and corporate gatherings.
