Evesham welcomes Buddy Holly & the Cricketters

On Sunday 22 March, from 7.30pm, Evesham plays host to the Buddy Holly show that’s rock’n’rolled audiences across the globe, from Cardiff to California, Barking to Bangkok and Swindon to Sweden.

Buddy Holly & the Cricketters stars some of the finest actor–musicians in the UK, whose combined West End credits include Buddy, Lennon, Forbidden Planet and Jailhouse Rock, and was endorsed as Britain’s most popular Buddy Holly act when the boys guested on BBC One’s Saturday night live programme, The One & Only, hosted by Graham Norton.

It’s a show so packed with hits that it rarely pauses for breath: ‘That’ll Be The Day’, ‘Peggy Sue’, ‘Heartbeat’, ‘It Doesn’t Matter Anymore’, ‘Raining In My Heart’, ‘Oh Boy!’ and dozens more. It’s presented in the style Buddy would perform today: authentic arrangements, driving rhythms, energetic performances and wonderful musicianship, all delivered with charm and humour.

Audiences are warmly invited to a show that will make their hearts beat a little faster; and join its thousands of fans saying: “I can’t believe it’s not Buddy!”

Tickets are priced at £20.00 (£18.00 concessions) and are on sale now from Evesham Almonry, Abbey Road, WR11 4BQ, or call 01368 446944. Visit the arts centre website at www.EveshamArtsCentre.co.uk.
